Meghan Markle may have wowed on her wedding day to Prince Harry, but it’s her sister-in-law The Duchess of Cambridge who has beaten her to take out a coveted title.

Kate Middleton has been named as having the biggest impact on shopping habits – according to eBay’s annual UK Retail Report.
According to the online retailer, while Kate was pregnant with baby Louis, her stylish maternity wear generated more searches than any other royal over the past year.

Of particular interest was the red Jenny Packham dress that Kate wore when she stepped outside the Lindo Wing to introduce little Prince Louis to the world.
Jenny Packham isn’t the only designer that the fashion-conscious Duchess of Cambridge, favours.

She has also worn the likes of Alexander McQueen and Seraphine – leading to an increase in searches for their clothes.
Meghan’s fashion power, meanwhile, peaked at her wedding when the simple Givenchy dress she wore led to a 60 per cent rise in searches.

‘While Meghan was the focus of the fashion pages, Kate’s style has long been a hit,’ explained Rob Hattrell of eBay.
