The 70-year-old royal will appear in ITV’s The Real Camilla: HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, which will depict a year in her life as she prepares for her role as Queen Consort.

In the documentary, Charles speaks candidly about their marriage, often referring to Camilla as his ‘darling wife’ and praising her.

He says of his wife: ‘She’s the best listener in town. She can get anything out of anybody.’

Close friends and family will also appear on screen, sharing details on the duchess’ everyday persona.

Giles Brandreth, a prominent English reporter, says she ‘isn’t interested in position or status’.

Not only will Camilla feature in her own documentary, ITV’s The Queen’s Green Planet aired earlier this week with the duchess making an appearance.

In a particular scene, Camilla gave a rare glimpse into her sense of humour – jokingly scolding Sir David Attenborough for mixing up the trees she’d planted for Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
