The royal family are known for their impeccable etiquette, and fans are guaranteed to receive a thank you card when taking the time to write to them on special occasions.
However, Sarah Ferguson has taken the rather unusual move of sending members of the public who wished her a happy birthday last month gift tags instead of Thank You notes.
One of the recipients was 22-year-old royal watcher Jessica, from Italy who runs the Instagram account Royal addicted.
Sharing a snap of the Duchess of York’s gesture of thanks, the note read: ‘Thank you so much for your birthday greetings. It was kind of you to remember my birthday.
‘I take great pleasure in sending you my best wishes.’
The gift tag was signed off ‘Sarah’.
