The fate of Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson’s company, Ginger & Moss, hangs in the balance, with reports that the business is on the verge of bankruptcy.
The upmarket tea company is backed by Gate Ventures, an e-commerce organisation founded by songwriter Geoff Morrow – who wrote hits for Elvis Presley and Barry Manilow.
Sources close to Gate Ventures say that after suffering multimillion-dollar losses, the firm was scrambling for funds to prevent it from going into voluntary liquidation.
Fergie reportedly joined the firm in 2017, to “assist with the branding and marketing of its products and productions”, according to its website.
“I am amazed that the Duchess of York has got involved in this,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. “They’re clearly using her royal name to gain credibility.”

This would add to a string of failed business ventures by Fergie, including her “lifestyle and wellness” company, Hartmoor, which collapsed in 2009 with huge debts.
Thankfully, it seems Fergie may have a shoulder to cry on, with reports that the royal is back together with her ex, Prince Andrew!
