Social media has been set alight after reporter Lisa Petrillo spotted Meghan Markle outside her Kensington Palace home picking up dog poo.
The CBS reporter took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to share details about the encounter she claims to have had with the Duchess of Sussex after spotting someone she thought to be the royal walking a dog outside the private Kensington Palace residence she shares with Prince Harry.
Lisa wrote to Twitter, ‘So incredibly enough, walking by @kensingtonroyal – we spotted this beautiful, woman with a familiar air outside the entrance to the private residence where Harry& Meghan live . MEGHAN!? her dog was doing his business. She couldn’t have been sweeter. #princessespickuppooptoo‘
The photo shared by Petrillo shows a woman who bears a striking similarity to Meghan.
Royal fans went wild once the photo was posted.
‘I can’t believe this – so cool!’ one wrote.
Another added, ‘STOP! I am insanely jealous.’
A third echoed, ‘Wow, she’s so real.’
After the photo went viral, TMZ claimed to have spoken to a Kensington Palace source who denied the woman was Meghan. The Sun also claims Palace sources denied the photo was the duchess.
Petrillo is maintaining the woman she saw WAS Meghan, replying to people who didn’t believe her: ‘I’m here on vacation, NOT working. Spotted her – as did many of us.’
