A few drinks down the local or a no-cost-spared trip to Las Vegas? An afternoon tea or a holiday in the sun?
The choices facing brides and grooms on how to celebrate their stag and hen dos have never been greater – so what does a royal couple do?
According to reports, Meghan Markle had her hen do at Soho Farmhouse, a luxury hotel and spa in the UK’s quaint Oxfordshire countryside.
It wasn’t the bride-to-be’s first time at the haven – heiress Millie Mackintosh posted a photograph of the pair there on Instagram in September 2016.
The former Made in Chelsea star shared a photo of the friends on bikes, captioning it: ‘Dream day @meghanmarkle.’
On a visit to Edinburgh in February, Ms Markle reportedly told one well-wisher her hen do was ‘sorted’ – it is believed she visited Soho Farmhouse in early March.
Visitors to the spa – part of the Soho House private members’ club – can stay in luxury cabins and enjoy horse-riding, a state-of-the-art gym, tennis and swimming in the indoor and outdoor pools.
Prices for an overnight stay in one of the cabins start at £210.
But what about the groom?
Well-wisher Tom Martin said Prince Harry replied, ‘I’m sure William’s got something up his sleeve’ when asked about his stag do during the walkabout in Edinburgh.
But other than that cryptic message, we don’t know much about Harry’s planned knees-up.
A Facebook event run by a host of university students, entitled ‘Prince Harry’s Stag Do’, has 39,000 people attending, and more than 100,000 people ‘interested’.
The event description simply says: ‘Bunga Bunga Prince is getting married! Let’s celebrate with him!’
Paul Balaji, the computing student who set up the page, said: ‘I was just sitting having dinner and every time I checked my phone, 10,000 had said they were going. It was nuts.’
The Imperial College London student said expectant attendees will have to wait and see if he decides to organise an actual get together.
When asked what he would do if he were to organise the prince’s stag do for real, Mr Balaji, 22, said: ‘He seems like quite a party person…I reckon a world tour of famous nights out.’
A spokeswoman for Kensington Palace declined to comment on either the hen or stag do.
