In a move that has frankly shocked many royal watchers, the palace has confirmed Queen Elizabeth will meet controversial US president Donald Trump and wife Melania, on June 3rd.
But it was the official statement released by the White House that raised eyebrows, over one very silly mistake.
The White House official statement read: “President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump accepted the invitation of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to visit the United Kingdom from June 3 to 5, 2019,” the White House said in a statement. “This state visit will reaffirm the steadfast and special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
Can you spot the mistake?

The error occurs at the very start of the statement which reads, “President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump accepted the invitation of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
As some nit-picking fans pointed out, the correct way to address Queen Elizabeth would be “Her Majesty” or “Your Majesty”.
The White House seems to have mixed up the titles, as “Your Royal Highness” or “His/Her Royal Highness” is the correct way to address royals such as Prince Charles, Harry and William, but it is certainly not how one addresses Her Majesty the Queen.
Hopefully Trump learns the difference before his trip in June!
