Catherine Middleton has given birth to her third child, Kensington Palace confirmed. And it’s another boy!
The official account for the royal family announced the news on social media, confirming Prince George is no longer the only boy in the family.
‘Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs,’ read a statement.
‘The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
‘The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
‘Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.’

Catherine experienced health issues in the early stages of her pregnancy and was plagued by Hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) during her first trimester.
She missed several royal commitments and even Prince George’s first day at school because the sickness made her so ill.
Despite the difficulties she faced during her pregnancy, her hubby, Prince William said he was confident Catherine would be able to handle whatever challenges motherhood throws her way.
‘I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine. She’s an amazing mother and a fantastic wife,’ he said. ‘I adore my children very much and I’ve learned a lot about myself and about being a family, just from having my own children, and it’s amazing how much you pick up just in those moments.’
According to Us Weekly, Catherine was planning to employ several extra staff to help her through those difficult first weeks, ‘mostly to help establish a sleeping routine.’
