The Duchess of Cornwall wowed in a black and white outfit as she stepped out to a reception for winners of The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition at Buckingham Palace on November 22.
Camilla’s skirt was particularly eye-catching and demonstrated her edgy style to great effect.
The 71-year-old appeared in good spirits as she handed out the awards, smiling and chatting enthusiastically among the crowds.
The outing comes after reports the Duchess is ‘jealous’ of Princess Mary and Prince Charles, when the Tasmanian-born wife of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark turned up to her husband’s 70th birthday party.
According to well-placed palace sources, Camilla became enraged that Princess Mary was in attendance.
“She’s long been jealous of the Danish princess and the friendship Mary has with Charles and she didn’t hold back on her thoughts during the night either,” a palace insider dished to New Idea.
The insider added that the whole evening was an “absolute nightmare – you could cut the tension with a knife.”
