Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, shares sweet moment with furry friends

The Duchess of Cornwall has had a busy month of engagements spanning the length and breadth of Britain.

And Camilla showed no signs of slowing down as she stepped out on Monday February 20 to visit Medical Detection Dogs, a charity which she is patron of.

The 71-year-old was treated to a demonstration by the centre’s canine residents who are trained to sniff out numerous diseases and raise the alarm if a person becomes unresponsive.

Camilla also met with patients who use the dogs as companions and chatted about the benefits of the human-canine partnership.

Clarence House has previously tweeted about the organisation praising the reliability of the dogs and encouraging further research in the area.

The wife of Prince Charles looked typically elegant in a a 1960s inspired polka dot dress which featured a sophisticated scarf attached round the neck.

Camilla bundled up against the spring chill in a deep teal coat with one of her trademark brooches pinned to the collar.

She opted for understated makeup and dainty pearl earrings to finish the look.

Camilla gave a speech to attendees, saying: “To all of you here today I wanted to say a huge thank you from a very, very proud patron.”

The visit coincided with the Duchess’ first appearance at London Fashion Week where she presented the Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design and sat front row next to British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enniful.

Camilla looked chic in a monochrome striped dress, matching cape and understated heels.
