Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have been busted in an awkward display towards the athletes at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, and royal fans are NOT happy.
Camilla was spotted by cameras showing indifference to the athletes, officials and artists that featured in the extravagant ceremony.
Prince Charles officially opened the Games on behalf of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in a speech addressed to the entire Commonwealth.
‘Over the years these ‘Friendly Games’ have shown the potential of the Commonwealth to connect people of different backgrounds and nationalities,’ Charles told the crowd.
On several occasions, the live broadcast captured the 70-year-old flicking through a Games program with little regard for the live action.
Fans were so confused that the word ‘Camilla’ was trending across Twitter.
