News that the Cambridges and Sussexes are booked to go on two separate royal tours later this year has done nothing to suppress rumours of a royal rift.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the two couples are going on two separate tours just “weeks apart” from each other.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will travel to Asia and visit Commonwealth countries, with Kensington Palace set to make an official announcement in coming weeks, reports The Mail on Sunday.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will head to Africa for a major tour in October, according to Hello!
It’s expected the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend two weeks travelling with Archie, with stops to include visits to Malawi, Angola, Botswana and South Africa, according to the publication.
The announcement of their separate royal tours comes soon after the Cambridges and Sussexes officially parted ways, with Meghan and Harry cutting ties with the Royal Foundation – the charitable foundation set up by William and Harry in 2009.
Kensington Palace released a statement confirming the news.
“The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has today announced the conclusions of a review into its structure, and how it will best support Their Royal Highnesses with future charitable activity,” the statement said.
“Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation,” the statement continued.
The statement also revealed that while the royal foursome will not work together within the charity that was founded by the two royal brothers and Kate Middleton, they plan to “work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together.”
The statement also discussed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s future charitable efforts.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wish to build on The Foundation’s past successes, continuing programs such as ‘Heads Up,’ the new mental health campaign delivered in partnership with the FA, ‘United for Wildlife,’ which runs a global taskforce tackling the illegal wildlife trade, and ‘Mentally Healthy Schools,’ which supports teachers and staff improve child mental health. They are also developing new initiatives on the environment and support for children and families which The Foundation expects to announce in the coming year.”
With Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan moving to their own Frogmore Cottage property earlier this year and then welcoming their new baby, Archie, in May it was only a matter of time before further splits were introduced.
