Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the adorable name of their newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, however, the son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is yet to been given a title.

According to HELLO! while little Archie Sussex could have been Earl of Dumbarton – one of Harry’s subsidiary titles – or Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, parents Meghan and Harry chose to not ‘use a courtesy title’, and will for the time being be calling their little tot Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
Considering Archie’s grandfather, Prince Charles, will one day be King, baby Sussex could be styled as a Prince if that’s what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle desire.
Whilst the utterly sweet name ‘Archie’ was met with widespread love, it is interesting that the little bub didn’t take his father’s name of Sussex, which is straying from what Kate Middleton and Prince William chose for their three children, who all assumed the name Cambridge.
Instead, and much to the delight of Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stuck to the family tradition and kept their firstborns surname as Mountbatten-Windsor.
