Prince Harry is officially off the market! The royal announced his engagement to American actress Meghan Markle this morning, and hearts broke across the world.
In honour of Harry’s impending nuptials, we take a look at some of the other beauties he’s dated along the way!
Lauren Pope
Pope, a glamour model, had a ‘makeout’ session with Harry at the club Chinawhite in February 2004, and the two stayed in contact for a short period of time after.
Chelsy Davy
Harry’s longest girlfriend, Chelsy, dated the handsome royal from 2004-2011, however it was a notoriously ‘on-and-off’ relationship. The two met when they attended neighboring schools in the UK, but as Zimbabwean Chelsy later studied law in South Africa and Harry was based in the UK, the couple had to maintain a long distance relationship as well. During that time, Chelsy met the Queen and was by Harry’s side for important ceremonial military events and the Diana Memorial Concert, but the couple split for good just after attending William and Kate’s 2011 wedding together.
Catherine Ommanney
Before Harry and Chelsy became official, Catherine – an interior designer and divorced mother of two – went public about her relationship with Harry in 2007. She was 34 and he was 21, the romance was incredibly short-lived though. Ommanney later went on to appear on the hit reality show, The Real Housewives of D.C.
Natalie Imbruglia
When Harry and Chelsy were in one of their ‘off’ periods, the royal dated Australian actress and singer Natalia Imbruglia. During their relationship Harry attended Natalie’s birthday party, and the two were also spotted out on various other dates including bowling and attending a Killers concert together.
Caroline Flack
During 2009, Harry also had a brief relationship with TV presenter Caroline Flack, after being introduced by a mutual friend. Caroline wrote in her autobiography Storm In a C Cup, ‘Once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other. I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry’s bit of rough.’ Before the end of the year, Harry was celebrating his 25th birthday with Chelsy in Botswana.
Camilla Romestrand
Harry dated Norweigan singer Camilla Romestrand briefly in 2010, but the couple broke up as Chelsy and Harry reunited.
Florence Brudenell-Bruce
After Harry and Chelsy split for the last time in 2011, Harry dated lingerie model Florence. The pair had known each other for years but went their separate ways as Harry headed to the US for helicopter training.
Mollie King
Harry and Mollie – singer in the pop group Saturdays – had a brief fling. However, after their romance went public Harry quickly fizzled out the budding relationship.
Cressida Bonas
After meeting through Harry’s cousin Princess Beatrice, Harry and Cressida had a two-year relationship from 2012 to 2014. The two went on to vacation together, attended her sister’s wedding, and in a sure sign it was getting serious, Cressida accompanied Harry on one of his charity engagements. However, they split a few months later.
Camilla Thurlow
After meeting on a night out in 2014, Harry invited Camilla to go on holiday with him. As the prince headed to St. Tropez with friends, Camilla was in two. However, when Harry celebrated his 30th birthday a few weeks later, Camilla was nowhere to be seen.
Ellie Goulding
Ellie was lucky enough to sing ‘Your Song’ for William and Kate’s 2011 royal wedding and has performed at a number of royal events. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that rumours of the two started swirling. The two were spotted kissing at a polo match, but unfortunately nothing else transpired.
Meghan Markle
Finally – there’s Meghan. Harry and Meghan have been linked since October 2016 and have been the centre of romance rumours ever since. The two made their first official public appearance at the 2017 Invictus Games and announced their engagement in November 2017. Their royal wedding is scheduled to happen in autumn of 2018 (Spring in the UK).
