1. Be Kind

Thomas Battersea is a christian school open to children of all faiths. And the most important rule all children must follow is to be kind. “There are signs everywhere saying ‘Be Kind’ that’s the ethos of the school, Jane Moore told British talk show Loose Women. “They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”

2. Be courteous and polite

According to its website, students are also encouraged to be ‘unfailingly courteous and polite’ and to have ‘regard for the needs of others.’ This includes holding the door open, and to always say please and thank you.

3. Be honest

The $12,000 a term day school asks that all of it’s pupils ‘act with integrity at all times’ and expects students to ‘be honest.’

4. Be respectful

NO MATTER WHAT! All members of the schooling community must ‘respect the right of others to hold differing beliefs or views and to develop an awareness of individual liberty.’

5. Perseverance

The little royal will be encouraged to embrace challenges as well as ‘learn from criticism; find lessons and inspiration in the success of others and acquire a growth mindset.’

6. Independence

Despite her title, Princess Charlotte will still need to do her homework just like the other students. She will also be encouraged to make ‘valid contributions’ in the classroom and ‘respect the efforts of her peers.’

7. Uniforms are compulsory

In winter, this includes Thomas’s navy jacket or cardigan, navy pinafores, red tights and black polishable shows. In summer, Charlotte will be required to wear a white blouse, gingham pinafores and plain white ankle socks.

8. Students dine on fresh seasonal meals

The school has a three week menu cycle which changes with season. Some of the meals served include freshly baked organic baguette slice, gluten/dairy free chicken breast, crudities and rice as well as organic beef mince chilli con carne.
