This isn’t the first time Ricki has sustained a painful injury.
The singer once opened a bottle of champagne when the cork hit her in the eye.
"As I took the cage off the top of the bottle my sister ran over to give me a hug," she revealed on Facebook.
"So I leant down to hug her, and with my eye just inches away…the cork exploded from the bottle straight into my eye socket. The force of the cork hitting my eyeball was like no other pain I have ever felt."
The Australian Idol alum said the incident was painful.
"It felt like a train had slammed into my eyeball at full speed or like I was punched in the face by Mike Tyson," she added.
Coulter is about to embark on concerts in Adelaide and Sydney to mark her 15 years in the industry.
'Not only am I celebrating the last 15 years of my career with all my biggest hits as well as standouts from Idol & Young Divas - I'm also performing the amazing songs from A Star Is Born! Come along for a great night of music!' she wrote on Instagram this week.
