He confessed to The Bachelorette’s Ali Oetjen that he wanted ‘marriage, kids and the white picket fence’ on the show’s premiere on Wednesday night.
And in episode two, Charlie Newling already confessed he was falling in love with Ali after one single date with her.
The couple attempted a bungee jump in Sydney’s CBD but after Ali became terrified at the last minute and Charlie stepped into reassure her.
Within minutes the pair found themselves passionately kissing and later over wine and cheese they discussed marriage, kids and the white picket fence again.
“I came on here for love and I came on here with you…” Charlie says to Ali.
After scoring a rose, the Sydney based builder headed back to the mansion to show off his rose.
“I can definitely see myself falling in love with Ali,” he gushed.
Fellow suitor Paddy was not impressed with his admission and labelled Charlie a “nutter”.
“At this rate he’ll be proposing at breakfast,” sighed Paddy.
Later on at the cocktail party, Charlie appeared to find it difficult to see Ali chatting with other men and found himself interrupting one of her chats.
Indeed, if the 31-year-old can have such strong feelings early on, will he be experiencing the same as ‘obsessed’ Jarrod Woodgate.
Jarrod appeared on last year’s Bachelorette and found himself head over heels in love with Sophie Monk very early on in the show.
Even though Sophie endeared to his affections, she ended up picking millionaire pub heir Stu Laundy leaving poor Jarrod bawling on the beach with a broken heart.
Will the same become of Charlie? Only time will tell!
