Clare Verrall is the Married At First Sight bride who vowed to follow a healthy lifestyle and successfully lost 43kg.
On Wednesday, the 34-year-old took to Instagram to unveil the next step she took in what appears to be a total body makeover – getting her lips tattooed. In the video, she is seen laying on her back with a surgery smock pulled up to cover her chest.
At the end of the session, Clare’s lips look a rich red colour. Clare left a hilarious account of the experience, writing in the caption, “OK, as many of you know I am lazy AF when it comes to makeup. I wish to retain a natural look without having to apply “natural” looking makeup. So I had my lips tattooed.”
She also gave further reasoning behind her decision to tattoo her lips, writing, “I used to throw some lipstick on in the car on the way to work, sometimes. That is it. I am simply too lazy to maintain it, so within an hour the colour is gone, as has my care factor to apply more.”
When it came to choosing the colour she wanted inked, her inspiration was the colour her lips turned when she had a cold. She wrote, “What I ideally wanted was the lip colour I naturally get when I have a cold,” before adding, “my lips go the prettiest colour when I am sick! Anyone else find this?”
Clare is no stranger to cosmetic tattooing. Back in May, she had her eyebrows microbladed and wrote in an Instagram post: “I had no idea before I had them done how lopsided my brows were (eeek!) the amazing Ira did such an incredible job. They look totally natural, however, she managed to erase the over-plucking errors caused by being an over zealous teenager in the late 90’s/early 00’s!”
Clare appeared in Season 2 of Married At First Sight where she was paired with Jono Pitman.
