TV favourite Jessica Rowe has been reduced to tears, amid a confronting and rigorous regimen on new show The Real Dirty Dancing, which forced her and other celebrities into challenging scenes of very public physical intimacy and bared flesh.
Jess, an accomplished TV presenter, author and mum, is tasked with training up to put on a professional-level stage show recreating classic dance scenes from the Patrick Swayze film Dirty Dancing.
But while she’s fit as a fiddle and looks fantastic, it seems that Jess initially wasn’t ready for some of the emotional strains of sexing it up with a dance partner in front of hundreds of fans.

‘I don’t feel sexy,’ Jess confesses of her self doubt in a new trailer for the show, as she visibly struggles with one intimate scene with her dance partner, who is seen pressing his face towards hers.
It is then that a tearful Jess reveals what she is struggling with.
‘When you become a mum you almost feel that a part of yourself shuts down; that part of you that is just for you,’ she confesses in the emotional scene.
But the star appears to overcome her doubt, stunning her fellow contestants with her killer body, and seeming to ace it in a number of amazing – and very intimate – dance sequences in front of a cheering audience.
Jessica isn’t the only one put through her paces. Joining her in the task are Hugh Sheridan, Stephanie Rice, Firass Dirani, Anna Heinrich, Jamie Durie, Anne Edmonds and Jude Bolton.
The Real Dirty Dancing revisits the movie’s most memorable moves and moments with a nostalgic journey of a lifetime in the US – where the film was actually shot.
The celebs will head to the locations from the film and recreate the moments from that summer in 1963, learning the iconic dance routines under the guidance of choreographers Todd McKenney and Kym Johnson.
Their ultimate goal is to be chosen to perform as Baby and Johnny in a one-off live theatre show back in Australia, where they will re-enact the film’s final ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’ dance, including the lift.
The Real Dirty Dancing airs Monday the 30th of September at 7:30 pm on the Seven Network.
