NSW parents Mandy and Toad reveal they once had to dash to hospital in an emergency so that Mandy could have a C-section.
‘I was sick for nine months,’ Mandy laments. ‘I was so tired and at eight weeks I had an early scan because he [Toad] was worried something was wrong,’ she adds.
But the couple later found out they were expecting twins and one of the boys was ‘hammocking’ (sideways position), so Mandy needed an urgent C-section.
‘I did not want to have a caesarean. I’m not a hippy or anything like that, but I did not want to go in there and have some chemical put in my body and then them cut through my muscles,’ Mandy recalls.
