This year, six teams won’t just renovate, they will innovate.
It has everything from secret rooms and revolving clothes racks to the most modern home technology we have ever seen.
Here is a little sneak peek into this year’s contestants.
The Western Australia based sisters are planning to give back to their beloved mum, Kristen, by renovating the family home so she can have a fresh start after her divorce.
Following a similar suit, Shayn and Carly are hoping to upgrade their family home for their two beautiful daughters, Harper, 5, and Imogen, 3.
“Our family is fast outgrowing the house,” says Shayn, 33.
Carly cheekily admits that she does have a darker side which can be competitive.
“I don’t like losing,” she laughs. “I don’t even like to lose board games.”
For the couple, Katie and Alex, they’re hoping to rescue their dream home before it falls to pieces.
“It’s small and falling down,” admits Alex.
We also have the Melbourne based chippies and brothers, Tim, 32, and Mat, 27, who think that they will have the upper hand because of their background in the industry.
“Our background in carpentry and building, along with being able to visualise things before they are put together”, says Tim.
Although they might have a run for their money as the newlyweds, Lisa, 30, and Andy, 32, unveil that they have previously renovated home as well.
“[Andy] thinks he did it all himself but I organised the tradies,” chuckles Lisa.
Meanwhile, the newbies on the block, Mikaela, 24, and Eliza, 21, are hoping that their enthusiastic approach will be enough to get them through.
“How hard can it be?” Eliza laughs.
Last and certainly not least, we have the married dance teachers Pete and Courtney who are determined to ‘bring it’ this year and to do what it takes to win.
“We’re not really interested in second place,” Pete gloats.
He also adds, “My weakness is not being able to bite my tongue.”
Well, it looks like we certainly have a huge line up this year along with some VERY competitive players.
The future is here and we can’t wait to see what it brings just after Easter!
