Bride and Prejudice’s Seyat’s Macedonian mother Fatima doesn’t like his fiance Jess; she thinks Jess is “trouble” and not the one for him.
She’s called her everything from ‘dirty’ to ‘slutty’ and is desperate for Jess to leave her son.
And in Episode 5 Fatima offers Jess $10,000 to head on a round the world trip and end her relationship with Seyat.
But Jess refuses to take the money to leave Seyat.
“I wouldn’t even take a million dollars,” Jess tells Seyat’s parents.
“I’m here to show you how much I love Seyat,” she pleads.
“I’m not a piece of furniture. You can’t sell and buy me.”
The mum still thinks she’s still being a ‘bitch’ and believes Jess is just trying to be clever and hurt her. “You’ve taken Seyat away from me,” she seethes.
“She doesn’t want me to have my way, she just doesn’t want to look a fool. I feel like she’s won. I’m going home. I’m not going to her wedding. Now he’s on his own!” she threatens.
When Jess returns back to the room to tell Seyat how she was bribed to leave him, he finds it all a bit funny.
“Oh yeah,” he laughs.
Jess is not happy and feels unsupported and gets up and storms out. “I’m done talking with you!” she screams.
Will their relationship last or will Fatima finally break them?
