In doing so, Meghan snubbed the Queen's invitation to attended the Highland Games - a move that royal insiders say left Her Majesty feeling disappointed.
The Mail on Sunday referred to Meghan's move as an "outright snub” adding that the Queen was "hurt and disappointed at a time when she likes to bring her friends and family together."
According to their sources, the Queen has set her heart on "a few days of merry chaos" with her great-grandchildren, including Meghan and Prince Harry's son Archie who is yet to visit Balmoral home with his parents.

While Buckingham Palace is yet to comment,The Sunrevealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — unlike other royals — had declined a visit to Balmoral to see the Queen on her Scottish holiday because four-month-old Archie was too young.
According to News.com.au, a spokeswoman for Meghan also said it was because the couple was "too busy" with work, adding that the Duchess had taken a British Airways commercial flight from London Heathrow to New York over the weekend.
