A prison guard who works at the Colombian prison where accused Aussie drug mule Cassie Sainsbury remains behind bars claims the 22-year-old is a “liar.”
Speaking to 9News, the female guard, known only as Anna, says the former personal trainer is an attention seeker who has been feeding false information to the media about the conditions inside the facility.
“Cassie likes attention and she know how to get it,” the guard said.
“She’s not my most difficult prisoner, but I don’t like her lies and the and bad information she is giving to the media.”
Anna also slammed Sainsbury’s claims that she is not getting proper access to medical attention while inside Buen Pastor jail.
“That’s a lie,” she said.
“Every prisoner gets checked out for their health. She has access to private doctors too if she wants.”
Just last week Channel Nine published a photograph of the imprisoned Adelaide woman smiling and posing with a fellow cellmate.
But despite Sainsbury’s claims that she was pressured into taking the snap, Anna feels differently about the incident.
“She’s bullying another prisoner for taking a picture with her, but we believe Cassie wanted to take the picture,” she said.
The shocking allegations come just one day after Sainsbury’s fiancé, Scott Broadbridge, was reportedly denied access to the prison to see his embattled partner due to a problem with paperwork.
