Just like his cousin Louis is expected to celebrate with two lavish ceremonies.
Sources told People that Louis and Marie will say ‘I do’ in a private civil ceremony in the Prince’s Palace before having a larger religious service on the Saturday, followed by a reception later that evening.
For their religious ceremony the couple will say their vows in the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate in Monaco, which was the same location that Louis’ grandfather, Prince Ranier II wed Grace Kelly back in 1956.
“Growing up in the princely family binds you very strongly to this country,” Louis told Point de Vue magazine.
“For me it was therefore obvious to get married at the cathedral, so we will be near my grandfather, Prince Rainier III, – this will be our way of associating him with our happiness. My grandfather was a man I admired. I was very close to him.”
Louis and Marie met in 2011 at a nightclub in Cannes and announced their engagement in February 2018.
