The entire village of the remote community turned out to meet the couple, who were clapped and cheered as they walked up through the narrow, streets and into the open square.
William was given a traditional Chitrali hat and Kate an orange beaded headdress with a pink feather.
The couple sat in seats that had been made of carpet for the royals as they chatted to the local people and watched traditional dancing.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also visited the flood ruins in the village of Bumburet in Khyber-Pakhunkwa province today.
They met with survivors and and learnt about the flooding that devastated the village that was caused by glacial melting in 2015.
The isolated communities in the area have suffered from flash flooding in recent years as a result of the glaciers melting, and the couple heard how the community are adapting their way of life in response to climate events.
The Duke and Duchess's tour of Pakistan continues until Friday.
