"[Charles and Diana's] parental rivalry continued behind the closed doors of Kensington Palace," Andrew writes.
After one particular fight it’s claimed Harry, “launched an attack on his father, ineffectually beating him on the legs with his fists."
He then yelled, “I hate you, I hate you, you make Mummy cry."
However, Andrew reveals that Harry’s brother Prince William reacted very differently.
"William, sensitive and a little shy, was old enough to absorb the confusing and emotional meaning behind the stony silences and harsh words when his parents were together.
"On at least one occasion he pushed tissues under the door to his mother's bedroom, where Diana had closeted herself so that the staff - and her children - would not see her crying."
