Harry, who lost his mother Princess Diana at age 12, spent 10 minutes comforting 12-year-old Iestyn Jones, who lost his dad seven years earlier.
"It just got a bit emotional because he mentioned something. He knew some stuff about me and the same thing happened to me. We had a chat for about 10 minutes," Iestyn, from Kingswood near Bristol, said to reporters.
"When we had a group picture at the end he made sure I was standing next to him. They were lovely people. I didn’t expect them to be like that. They were amazing people."
The prince has previously spoken about how he used boxing as a means to help cope with his grief - similarly to Iestyn.
Princess Diana passed away in August, 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
Both Harry and William have openly spoken about their grief for their late mother.
