Prince Harry and Meghan Markle guarded by police with sub-machine guns
Prince Harry and his new wife Meghan Markle are being guarded by British special forces with sub-machine guns amid fears the royal couple could be targeted by the Taliban.
The threat is believed to be linked to comments Harry once made as a solider. In 2013, when the prince was a helicopter pilot, he boasted of blowing 'Taliban extremists to pieces' and confirmed he had killed Taliban fighters.
When asked if he had killed on duty, Harry said; 'Yeah, so lots of people have. The squadron’s been out here. Everyone’s fired a certain amount.'
He added why it was necessary, 'Take a life to save a life, that’s what we revolve around, I suppose. If there’s people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we’ll take them out of the game, I suppose.'
