It's reported the future king of England received many letters of congratulations, and Prince Charles decided to personally respond to well-wishers with thanks of his own.
One recipient has now shared his personal thank you letter from the Prince of Wales on Instagram account 'The Crown Replies', it reads:
“The Prince of Wales asked me to thank you for your recent letter, which you have sent following the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child. His Royal Highness is grateful to you for taking the trouble to write as you did, he was touched by your kind words of support and has asked me to send you his warmest thanks and very best wishes."
Charles clearly could not be more excited to welcome another grandchild.
At Prince Charles 70th photo shoot he looked utterly elated to be surrounded by his family, with one special candid shot showing Prince George sitting on his grandfather's lap, smiling and laughing.
Prince Charles reportedly even toasted "several times" after hearing the news Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were expecting. That's one excited grandfather!
