The horrific incident occurred at 8.50am on Wentworth Avenue, as the woman walked to work on Tuesday.
The woman, who is 30 weeks pregnant, can be seen in the video being punched repeatedly in the head by another woman who emerges from an alcove at the side of the footpath.
Two people, including an off-duty police officer, intervened to stop the attack, reports 9News.
The pregnant 26-year-old victim was taken to hospital for assessment and remains under observation.
"It was just a totally unprovoked, unwarranted, unnecessary attack," said Detective Chief Inspector Adam Johnson.
"The lady is currently under observation, she's got bruising and swelling to her face. She also lost a clump of hair from her head," he said.
The Mt Druitt woman was refused police bail and appeared late yesterday afternoon in the Central Local Court, where she was ordered to remain in custody, reports 9News.
