There’s two worlds that we rarely see collide: law enforcement and reality TV.
But after the 2017 season of The Bachelor premiered last night, Queensland Police felt compelled to issue a warning against the show’s host, Osher Gunsberg.
“Reports @oshergunsberg has lured a 30yo Brisbane man into a romance scam for the 2nd year in a row,” the tweet in question read.
The government organisation cleverly used the tongue-in-cheek post to caution users about the dangers of online dating and romance scams.
While Osher, 43, seemingly took the joke in his stride, he also couldn’t help but defend himself, responding: “He came willingly, I can prove it."
This isn’t the first time QLD Police’s official Twitter page has made headlines.
Their media department is notorious for peppering traffic updates and crime reports with hilarious dad jokes and strong pun game.
