Pink may have one of the most powerful voices in the world, but the star has revealed that her career was almost hindered thanks to poor health.
Speaking with KIIS FM's Kyle And Jackie O Show on August 11, the 37-year-old revealed that her smoking habit took its toll on her vocal chords.
"I almost lost my voice from smoking cigarettes,” she confessed.
"A very very dear friend of mine - Billy Mann - that I write songs with, sat me down one day and said: 'You have a choice to make, babe."
Putting on a comically gruff voice, the pop belter went on: "And I was like, 'It's really getting that bad is it?'''.
"So I quit and I went from sounding like a Golden Girl to sounding like Alvin and the Chipmunks!" she laughed.
Nowadays, the star is the picture of health
The mother-of-two ensures she finds the time to frequently workout, whilst channeling her energy into her two children and releasing of her seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma.
