Speaking from the red carpet, Pink, 40, explained her decision to Entertainment Tonight: “We did two-and-a-half years [recording and on tour] and Willow is back in school now and Jameson’s gonna start preschool soon, so it’s kind of the year of the family.”
She also revealed that she made the decision to temporarily step away from the stage so that her husband Carey can focus on his career.
“Carey has a lot going on as well,” she said of the off-road truck racer and former motocross competitor.
“He is super supportive. He follows me around the world, and now it’s his turn.”
Grammy winner Pink performed a duet with Chris Stapleton during the awards ceremony.
The star sang 'Love Me Anyway', and told ET of Chris: “He’s my person. He’s my favourite voice today in music, and I just love him.”
Pink also stood alongside country superstar Sheryl Crow on the red carpet.
The 'All I Wanna Do' singer took to the stage to debut her new songs with Maren Morris later that evening in a girl-power moment.
Nicole Kidman was also in attendance to support her husband, Keith Urban - who was nominated for entertainer of the year and male vocalist of the year.
The Big Little Lies star dazzled in a long-sleeved sparkly-crimson midi-dress, adorned with pink and orange flower-shaped pieces. Nicole paired the look with pink heels and a red draw-string bag.
The Oscar-winning actress shared a video to her Instagram story ahead of the evening, alerting her followers that it was snowing in Nashville.
