While all of our attention has been on the British royals this week, Monaco’s royal family also had some extra special news.
Princess Caroline‘s son Pierre Casiraghi and his wife Beatrice Borromeo welcomed a son on Monday, People have confirmed.
The baby, who will be tenth in line to the throne and is Grace Kelly’s great grandson, has been named Francesco Carlo Albert.
The royal couple, who famously tied the knot with two lavish weddings in Italy in 2015, are already parents to 14-month-old son Stefano, who they welcomed on February 28, 2017.
Prince Albert previously spoke of his sister’s excitement over becoming a grandmother.
“She’s a very good mother, and probably an even better grandmother now if that’s possible,” Albert said in January 2017. “She really raised her kids well. Without a father for many years, that’s important. I’m incredibly proud of her children and to have them turn out as they have — that’s a tribute to her.”
