But now, Shutterstock's royal photographer Tim Rooke - who has been snapping the royal family since the '90s - is convinced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not follow in Kate and Wills footsteps
Rooke told Cosmo: "I think it’s going to be private. At this point with Kate’s babies, we’d been briefed by the Palace, but we’ve had no briefings whatsoever.
What's more, weeks prior to all three Cambridge births St Mary's Hospital had strict parking restrictions, something which is yet to happen despite Meghan Markle's due date creeping closer.
Rooke suggests that all the evidence is pointing to the forward-thinking royal couple going against the grain for their first baby photo, and in typical Harry and Meghan fashion, posting their first photo of baby Sussex to their new Instagram page.
Rooke added that the choice is far less controversial as Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne: "The Duchess of Cambridge will be Queen, whereas Harry is sixth in line to the throne... There are different expectations."
