Perth mummy blogger Constance Hall has opened up about her post-baby body a month after giving birth to a baby boy, Raja.
Taking to her popular Facebook page, Constance said she used to stop herself buying clothes when she’d gained weight because ‘I considered it feeding the beast’.
‘Like “no you don’t deserve new clothes, squeeze into old stuff until you lose weight”,’ Constance wrote.
‘Yet I weighed myself yesterday,’ the mum continued. ‘My whole life I sat around 55kg, I’m petite, the first thing people who meet me is “oh my god your tiny in real life” so while 55kgs is small it’s in proportion to my frame.
‘So guess what I weighed? 73kgs.
‘And guess how it made me feel?
‘I couldn’t give a flying f***.
‘I am literally more pissed off at the bolognese sauce that I can’t scrub off my saucepan then I am about my weight,’ Constance went on.
‘I just had a baby, he’s beautiful. I’m not tiny. Big deal. I feel great and I deserve clothes that fit me.’
Previously, Constance described her first week with with baby Raja – her first child with husband Denim Cooke – as ‘heaven on earth’.
‘I’m so much less stressed then I’ve ever been before,’ wrote Constance, who has four children with her former partner, Bill.
‘If he’s awake he’s feeding, sucking on my boobs or looking for boobs on Denim or the kids until his frustration turns to the cutest scream and Denzy hands him over.
‘Co sleeping is really working for us, it’s not for everyone but we just love it,’ the mum went on.
‘I’ve healed pretty well but I keep over doing it and having to lie down, my backs hurting coz I have absolutely no tummy muscles, like none, I do a half sit up position and there is nothing there, no separation... just nothing
‘But I just don’t know how I ever lived without him. We stare at each other for hours, sometimes he’s asleep on my lap so I look at photos of when he was awake. It’s ridiculous and it’s heaven.’
