‘No one tells you how beauuuuutiful these moments are. My heart is exploding!’
Those are the heart-warming words of Home and Away favourite Penny McNamee, who has shared this first proper facial picture of her beautiful baby girl, Neve.
Cradled by her big brother Jack, 3, the little one appeared to be the picture of bliss.
Penny gave birth to the girl on Saturday, March 2, and it’s been joy ever since.
"💖Neve💖
A little ray of sunshine has come into the world☀️” she wrote at the time.
“Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Sydney Adventist Hospital for your kindness and extraordinary care. Especially our favourite Doc - Peter Wood and the beautiful nursing staff, particularly Ali, Maria, Chrissie, Anne, Bron and Chris. Nurses really are angels on earth. 💫
“Now excuse me while I go and stare at my baby for 3 hours."
Last year, the Home and Away star spoke candidly with New Idea about her struggles with fertility over the years, and how Neve was her 'miracle baby'.
“I had the surgery, and typically doctors say that you really need to fall pregnant within the first six months after. That’s your best chance because the endometriosis hasn’t started to grow back yet,” she says.
“We had planned to try for six months and then the next step for us was IVF. So to fall pregnant in the fifth month – we just felt such relief and gratitude. I was a little bit sceptical at first and didn’t want to get my hopes up.”
What a happy ending - Neve is gorgeous!
