Turia Pitt has shared a heartwarming retro photo with her fiancé on Instagram.
‘Awwww it looks like Michael really does love me,’ she captioned the delightful flashback picture. ‘That’s good because he’s talking about my most annoying habits, among other things, in my newsletter today.’
Turia and Michael met in high school and became an item a few years later. When Turia moved to Western Australia Michael followed her there. However, In 2011, Turia survived a horrific brush with death, which saw her suffer burns to 65 per cent of her body, lose several fingers and spend a gruelling five months in hospital after she was trapped in a grassfire during a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon in the Kimberleys.
Defying all the odds, Turia has made a remarkable recovery and is set to race at the 2016 IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii later this year.
