A student is apparently on the run from his parents after scoring an almost perfect score on his math test.
Despite, the 98 per cent grade, 19-year-old University of Queensland student, who asked not be named, posted a plea on social media for a place to crash.
The student told Daily Mail Australia he has yet to return home and fears he may be punished for not receiving a perfect score.
‘I’m always very scared when I don’t score 100 per cent. When my family finds out I’ll get in huge trouble and won’t get any dinner.’
He added that he has always been expected to get full marks in school.
‘When I was younger my mother smacked me if I didn’t get A+. Last time I got under 100 they told me “you are useless”.
‘They tried to call me already. They told me I needed full marks for the Maths assignment because the subject is China’s pride.’
