A mum who popped a dummy into her son’s mouth after he had a tantrum in the supermarket cannot believe the response of another shopper.

Carissa Rieschieck, 33, says she was approached by the older woman who lent down and plucked the dummy out of her two-year-old son’s mouth before telling her she was a bad parent for giving it to him.

The mum, who writes a blog, writes how the woman walked off with her son’s dummy before returning to chastise her further.

‘This time it was along the lines of “what kind of parent did I think I was to be using a dummy?” and “I should know better, it’s no wonder he screams”,’ she wrote.

Though the woman later returned the dummy, Corrissa was furious that a stranger felt she could “get so close to my son as to take something from him without any care for getting my permission”.
