This single mum is an absolute hero!
Yvette Vasquez dressed up as a man so her son Elijah wouldn’t feel left out at his school’s ‘Doughnuts with Dads’ day.
The mum of three sons has been raising her children alone since divorcing their father who was sent to prison.
Posting the pics on Facebook, she told how she noticed a lot of cars in the school parking lot as she dropped off 12-year-old Elijah.
When her son told her it was the special day, she said to him: ‘How come you didn’t tell me?’ Then she joked she could dress up as a man for him.
When her son didn’t baulk, Yvette decided to follow through, racing home and dressing in a plaid shirt, cap and fake moustache.
‘When we walked into the library there were a whole bunch of men, and a lot of them were cheering. Elijah was just smiling really big. It was a lot of un, and of course, we got doughnuts!’
