JonBenet Ramsey’s father ‘lied to police’ about her brother’s whereabouts on the night of her tragic death, according to sensational claims in a new US report.

The mystery surrounding the death of the toddler 20 years ago has never been officially solved, with various theories pointing the finger at either the family themselves, a mysterious stranger who had been jealous of their success, or a sick kiddie pageant pervert who had become obsessed with the young beauty queen.

A new report published by Globe magazine today sensationally claims father John Ramsey ‘lied to cops’ about his son, Burke, being asleep when it was discovered JonBenet’s was missing, and when they called 911. John vehemently denies that he misled the police.

In a 1998 interview, he told officers he had woken his son before the toddler’s body was found, saying: ‘I told him JoBenet was missing, gone. I remember him crying and hustling to get up. I remember him delaying to get a toy or Nintendo or something.’

However, a recent documentary on CBS claims Burke’s voice can be heard on a call to 911, asking: ‘What did you find?’ to his parents while they talk to operators.

The family lawyer L. Lin Wood refutes the claims and has slammed the documentary. He says the family intends to sue.

In 2001 John has said his son was awake when JonBenet’s body was discovered in the basement of the family home.
