A photo of a premature baby smiling is going viral.
Posted by American mother Lauren Vinje on the Love What Matters Facebook page, the picture tells a thousand words.
‘Our first daughter at five days old. 3 lbs 14 oz (1.7 kg), she was happy to be alive!’ Vinje captured the image. Which has now been shared almost 300,000 times.
She added: ‘This picture was one I looked at often to get me through the ups and downs of our NICU days. Life is so precious.’
