While promoting her latest film, Lion, the usually private Nicole Kidman alluded to her adopted children – Isabella, 23, and Connor, 21 – wanting to find their real parents.
Speaking to InTouch Weekly, Kidman, 49, said: ‘Every family’s experience with this is distinct and private.’
‘But we live in an ever more transparent world, technically speaking. Kids are resourceful, and they need to know your origin story is universal.’
Nicole adopted Isabella and Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Lion is a movie about a young man’s quest to find his biological parents after he was adopted by an Australian couple, played by Kidman and David Wenham.
Nicole previously said she wanted to star in the movie because it is ‘so powerful and true,’ the Daily Mail reports.
‘Obviously I have adopted children. It takes a village to raise children,’ the actress said.
‘The power of good love, there’s nothing like it, and where it comes from and how you get it. But the nurturing quality of good love is extraordinary.’
