The foster brother of murdered Queensland schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer has been bashed twice in prison, according to reports.
Inmates at the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre cheered on Trent Thorburn’s attackers while yelling ‘kill him’, The Courier-Mail reports.
Last week, Thorburn, 19, was charged with incest. It is alleged he was involved in sexual relations with the 12-year-old before she was killed.
Days before Palmer was murdered, Trent, who is being held on charges of incest, perjury, and perverting the course of justice, is believed he had gotten his foster sister pregnant, News.com.au reports.
Thorburn’s father Rick has been charged with Palmer’s murder.
The school girl had been living with the Thorburn’s for ten months before her disappearance in October last year. Her body was discovered in the Pimpama River on the Gold Coast on November 6.
