A Brisbane woman has been slammed after she criticised a cafe owner for being annoyed that she changed her baby on one of the cafe’s tables.
The new mum wrote a blistering review about Park Bench Espresso after staff were unhappy about her changing her 12-week-old baby on a table in front of customers.
The woman says the waitress gave her “a dirty look and made some comment” after the waitress tried to clear away her coffee.
The mother then said she approached the manager upon leaving and asked if she had a problem with the baby and her sitting there. The cafe owner told the mother that it was inappropriate for her to change her baby there.
The mother wrote that she didn’t need “judgement or criticism”.
But the cafe owner has fired back, saying: ‘I don’t think there is much more to say other than in in the same way you don’t expect to have to feed your baby in a toilet, I don’t expect people to eat while a nappy is being changed.’
She added: ‘She won’t be back as a customer and that’s fine.’
