Missing two year old’s parents: we didn’t kill our child

Questions are being asked about his mysterious vanishing.

Almost one year since two-year-old DeOrr Kunz vanished from an Idaho Mountain, his parents are ready to speak out.

Explaining the moment they realised their son was missing, DeOrr Kunz, 26, and Jessica Mitchell, 26, told People they are ‘still numb’ over the disappearance of their son.

The family was on camping trip to the Salmon-Challis National Forest July 10, 2015, with Mitchell’s grandfather Robert Walton and his friend.

Looking for a place to fish, Kunz said he and Mitchell were about 50 yards away from camp when they realised their son was missing.

‘I walked up the embankment and when I looked over, he wasn’t in his chair and he wasn’t with [Walton],” Kunz recalls.

Mitchell said she ‘left everything where it was’ and ‘ran across the rocks, went up the embankment and went, ‘What do you mean he’s gone? What do you mean he’s missing?'”

Six months after DeOrr disappeared, his parents were named as suspects by the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office.

‘The primary problem is they’re being less than truthful,” Sheriff Lynn Bowerman tells People.

‘No one has been cleared.

‘We don’t believe it’s an abduction – either human or animal.’
