UPDATE: The missing girl has been found after she turned up at school this morning. Police say she spent the night at a friend’s house without telling her mother.
The girl was last seen yesterday at 4.40 pm, in Pilbi St in the Logan suburb of Woodridge wearing a Mabel Park Primary School uniform with maroon shorts and a maroon polo shirt with a grey stripe down the left sleeve.
The girl has been described as caucasian in appearance and 150cm with a slim build, bright red hair and brown eyes. She was carrying a pink and green backpack.
The Brisbane Times reports the girl said she was going to the skate park, which is just a short walk away in a nearby park.
The spokeswoman said she wasn’t aware of any reports of people acting suspiciously in the area.
Police are urging anyone information to phone 131 564. Please ring 000 for life threatening information about this abduction/incident.
