A North Carolina girl has been found alive after police issued an amber alert on Wednesday.
Th girl was found alive in the woods 2 miles (three kilometres) from her house. A witness told the media she was chained to a tree.
A registered sex offender has been charged with kidnapping, ABC 11 reports.
Sheriff Edward McMahon said the girl, who is now being treated in hospital ‘is doing well’.
‘We beat the odds today,’ McMahon said.
The girl’s parents told police they saw the man take her while she was playing outside.
